Presenting the ' Bambino' 🍒🥂

With summer well and truly upon us, and Lebanese Cherries being in season and absolutely delicious, it was only right that we put them to good use.....in a delicious fizzy cocktail!

We've called this the Bambino, after our gorgeous Lebanese friend, who's nickname (due to her massive doe eyes) is Bambi❤️🇱🇧. This seemed to suit and a dutiful nod towards her, as this was 100% her creation. She's a wiz in the kitchen, with the creative food skills off a baker version of Michelangelo, and always the first to come up with the best ideas for produce.

So thank you Bambi😍, and here's what you'll need:

  • 1 1/2 cups of fresh cherries, pitted and halved.

  • 1 cup of vodka (we used Smirnoff)

  • 2 teaspoons of sugar

  • 1 can of soda

  • 4-5 large ice cubes

  • Fresh juice of 2 limes

  • Lime wedges for garnish

Method:

  1. Place the cherries, sugar and vodka in a container and leave to stew overnight, this elevates the taste and really allows the cherries to infuse the vodka.

  2. When ready for your cocktails, blend the mix, adding the lime juice and ice cubes.

  3. Add your soda and give it a quick stir, serve in a flute and garnish with a lime wedge.
