Succulent Chickpea & Chick'n Creamy Korma with Brown Rice 🍛. Sauce review!!🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
I love a Korma. That creamy, coconutty, flavourful curry, originating in the Mughlai origin of India, which quickly becoming one of the most popular curries of British-Indian cuisine. Now I had this written off as perhaps an unveganizable dish, but that's when Tesco's (you heroes) came up with a vegan version of the sauce. Now this is a product review, but if you can't find this sauce, here is a great recipe from the endless meal website- https://www.theendlessmeal.com/creamy-coconut-vegetarian-korma/
I thought I had some vegan Quorn Chick'n strips, but turned out they were the spicy Mexican strips, which worked out perfectly in the end after shopping them into smaller chick'ny cube sizes.
We added a can of chickpeas, a couple of capsicum, a green chilli, 5 cloves of garlic and a whole white onion to the sauce (we fried it off before adding sauce), and paired it up with some brown rice cooked in 'not-chicken' stock.
Add a side of naan, or Arabic style bread and we had ourselves an authentic, veganized Korma. The Tesco's Korma was delicious (🌱🌱🌱🌱/5), and Quorn is always a winner (🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱/5).
Doha peeps, we found the Quorn strips in Lulu Al Khor, and the sauce in Megamart in Q-Mall.
