The ultimate, easy, creamy, hummus! 🤤

This basic hummus recipe is the perfect base to up your chip n dip game. It's the easiest, but also the most delicious hummus we've tried (we live in the middle east, we KNOW hummus...). 3 mins to whip it up and it's a perfect staple for the fridge. 🤗


When we fancy a change, we add smoked paprika/chilli, or avocado, or raw onions, or roasted garlic, (basically whatever the hell we like) to create a smorgasbord of delicious hummus based dips.🥑🧄 🧅🌶. This recipe makes 4 of the above-sized pots.

So here's what you'll need:


A GOOD (and we mean good) blender. We invested in a Vitamix, and I wouldn't go without it.

1 can chickpeas (drained and rinsed) 2 tbsp tahina 4 tbsp water 2 tbsp olive oil

(OR -5tbsp water and 1 tbsp of olive oil if you want to cut your oil down) a good pinch of salt 1 whole lemon (juice) or 2 tbsp lemon juice 2-3 garlic cloves

Method:

  1. Blend for 30 seconds on a low setting, then crank it up high to achieve that velvet smoothness every hummus should have.

  2. Either drizzle with oil and a few chickpeas or leave the oil off for a healthier version.


We use this hummus in wraps, as a pasta sauce, to add a bit of creaminess to chili con carne, on toast, or as a great dip for veggie crudites and nachos.🌮 🌯 🥗
